Comparison of muscle activity of selected muscles of shoulder girdle by PEMG examination among elite swimmers and influence of strength training
Kubová, Simona ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Svozil, Zbyněk (referee) ; Ružbarský, Pavel (referee)
Title of the thesis Comparison of muscle activity of selected muscles of shoulder girdle by PEMG examination among elite swimmers and influence of strength training Thesis aim Analyze and evaluate the influence of strength intervention on muscle activity of selected muscle groups by PEMG during swimming locomotion by crawl method in top swimmers. Methods Fifteen top swimmers specializing in the crawl style at the age of 18-28 years participated in this experiment. After determining pain in the area of the shoulder joint using VAS (Visual Analogue Scale) and the SFPS questionnaire (Swimmer's Functional Pain Scale), which reports about the swimming training, health and analgesic use, probands underwent a PEMG examination of 8 evaluated muscles. Subsequently, they simulated a 100m crawl race on VASA, where PEMG data was again captured. Subsequently, everyone carried out a force intervention program and then again underwent a simulation of the 100m crawl on VASA. The evaluation and processing of the obtained data was performed with the program MyoResearch XP Master Edition from Noraxon company with simultaneous video recording. Basic descriptive statistics, Magnitude Based Difference, ANOVA and Cohen D were used for statistical data processing. Results Muscle activity of the examined muscles increased...
Case study of physiotherapy care of patient after suture of the rotator cuff
Kyselková, Barbora ; Satrapová, Lenka (advisor) ; Šáchová, Dana (referee)
Title: Case study of physiotherapy care of patient after suture of the rotator cuff Aim: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to introduce the issues relating to injury of the rotator cuff and following treatment. Another objective is detailed case study of patient after suture of the rotator cuff. Methodology of thesis: The thesis is divided into two parts. The first (general) part focuses on anatomy, kinesiology and basics principles of biomechanics of the shoulder joint. Then I will deal with the most commnon indications for chirurgic treatment, eventually conservative treatment and following physiotherapeutic care. In the second (special) part includes detailed case study of patient after suture of the rotator cuff. This part includes patients medical history, input musculoskeletal assesment, description of therapeutic units and output musculoskeletal assesment including evaluation of therapy and achievments. Special part was developped in CLPA in Vysočany. The outpatient attended therapies 2-3 times a week from 9.1. to 29.1.2016 in the morning. During therapies we managed to reduce swelling and pain of the operated joint, expand range of motion of the shoulder joint (flexion from 50ř to 150ř, abduction from 60ř to 90ř) and improve stereotype of abduction. Key words: the rotator cuff, the...
Diagnosis of the overload the anterior part of the shoulder joint in elite swimmers and the possibility of compensation
Baumrtová, Simona ; Satrapová, Lenka (advisor) ; Pavlů, Dagmar (referee)
Title of the thesis Diagnosis of the overload the anterior part of the shoulder joint in elite swimmers and the possibility of compensation Thesis aim The aim of this thesis is to look into a group of elite swimmers with a specific pain in the anterior part of the shoulder joint, to determine the cause of the pain and then to create a plan compensation. Methods The thesis was scientific - research quantitative study, which had the character of an experiment. That was attended by 14 probands between 15-30 years of a different swimming styles of the sport sector ,,swimming". The principle was to determine the causes of pain in the anterior part of the shoulder joint using aspection and palpation examination, examination of joint play and special tests for instability of the shoulder joint, tests on the tendon of the long head of the m. biceps brachii, tests on the rotator cuff and tests of the m. pectoralis major. Finally was built a compensation program, which will prevent the shoulder pain. Results Hypotheses that i chose at the beginning of the research, were confirmed in two cases. The cause of the pain in the anterior part of the shoulder joint in swimmers can not be accurately determined with regard to the swimming style. Among breatstrokers is a muscle strain caused by the rotator cuff in...
Physioterapeutical prevention and compensation of baseball shoulder pain
WINKLEROVÁ, Kateřina
This bachelor thesis contais a research aimed at prevention and compensation of shoulder pain, especially for baseball players 14-16 years old. Readers get acquainted with general characteristics of baseball, shouler joint and characteristics of the target group of children. The thesis further discusses shoulder injuries, their prevention and compensation. The research part consists of the evaluation of five active baseball pitchers from the target group. First, their perfomance is measured, then statistically evaluated and results presented in Annex. The main goal is to create a handbook of prevention and compensation of pain. This handbook would be usefull for all categories of players - not only pitchers, but also their teammates and baseball enthusiasts. The bachelor thesis is written mainly for coaches who care for both good game resuls and health of their players.
